A bit about us
Goodchild Accountancy is based in Glenfield, Leicester.
Our dedicated team of staff have years of experience in providing a wide range of accountancy services including, year end accounts, in year bookkeeping, personal tax, payroll and much more.

We’re local
We’ve been at The Old Rectory in Glenfield since 2016 and in the local area for many years before that.
Our team are local too; one of our partners lives a couple of minutes’ walk away from the office. Our clients enjoy the convenience of our location just off the A46 and M1, and our free car parking is a bonus too.
We’re straight-talking
We don’t use jargon when we don’t need to and we will speak to you like a human being. We wouldn’t expect to be given the in-depth explanation of everything from our suppliers, so we won’t expect you to listen to things that you don’t need to hear!
You can always rely on us to be honest, clear and direct with our communication, as you need your trusted accountant to be.
We’re very experienced
Across the whole team we have hundreds of years of experience and the capacity to always be on top of new legislation. We know that one person can’t know everything and that’s why we employ specialists in most accountancy areas.
Should you find yourself needing something where we don’t have a specialist., we know who to ask and where to go to. We’ll even go to them ourselves if it’s appropriate to do so. In short, our years of experience means that we’ve got you covered.
We know software
We set up at a time where the accountancy industry was taking the leap towards new cloud based systems. Since then numerous systems have been established - to name a few of our favourites that we know well - Xero, Dext, Quickbooks, Sage, Auto-entry, Free-Agent.
We always make the right recommendations to our clients and if we think a change of software would be beneficial, we’ll suggest it.
We’re adaptable
Having worked with lots of clients, we understand that every client's needs are different. We’re therefore very adaptable with our approach - which means you’ll feel looked after at all times by the right person.
We know that you’re busy and don’t need to have drawn out lectures on a new tax policy that may or may not apply to you. However, if you’d like to catch up with us on these things, you’re always very welcome to get in touch for advice.
Our promises
You’ll always be looked after by a partner
When you become a client of Goodchild, you’ll be looked after by a partner (Tim, Tash or Jamie) both in your initial meeting and going forward, too. Over time, as becomes necessary, you’ll work with other specialists in the team meaning you and your accounting needs are always being cared for by the right person.
We pride ourselves on our human touch
Our office number is always answered by the same lovely people and who will know where you need to go. We’ll never use AI to try to manage your call or lose you in a menu system!
We have competitive fees
Despite us being a larger firm, our fees are more aligned with smaller local firms than firms of our size. If you are coming from another firm* we promise to match their fees.
We’ll let you know if you don’t need us any more. Perhaps a little obvious but many firms will carry on doing their thing year after year when the need no longer exists!
* Must be a comparable firm (be qualified, have a web and office presence) and not be a compliance only provider.
We’re 100% UK based
We don’t outsource any of our work - and every employee is (and always will be) based in one of our offices in the UK. We don’t base any of our team from their home, meaning your most sensitive information only ever gets seen by one of our colleagues, not their family or visitors!
